Montville lost to Griswold back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Wolves put the hurt on the Wolverines with a sharp 14-4 victory. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Montville's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Griswold, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montville will take on Woodstock Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wolves 3.8, the Centaurs 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Griswold, they will welcome Ledyard at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
