Baseball Recap: Inter-Lakes Comes Up Short

Inter-Lakes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 4-1 to the Stevens Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-2 back in April.

Inter-Lakes' loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Stevens, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Inter-Lakes is set to take on their familiar foe Kearsarge at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Stevens will challenge rival Hopkinton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
