Basketball Game Preview: Harding Academy Wildcats vs. Riverview Raiders

Harding Academy is 10-0 against Riverview since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Harding Academy Wildcats will be playing at home against the Riverview Raiders at 6:00 p.m. Harding Academy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Harding Academy faced off against Pangburn on Tuesday. Harding Academy enjoyed a cozy 55-40 victory over Pangburn.

Harding Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Claire Citty, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. Citty has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Emery Wilson, who posted 13 points and six boards.

Harding Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 19 consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Riverview posted their closest win since January 2nd on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Rose Bud out 30-27.

Riverview's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Harding Academy, they have also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season.

Harding Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Riverview in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 49-44 win.
