Freedom barely beat Easton Area the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Patriots were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over the Rovers on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won five games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Santiago Rodriguez was incredible, firing off two home runs and six RBI while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Andrews, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Freedom kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Easton Area only managed six hits.
Freedom's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3.
