Baseball Game Preview: Keystone Wildcats vs. Black River Pirates

The Keystone Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Black River Pirates at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keystone will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Keystone duked it out with Brookside on Monday. The Wildcats blew past the Cardinals 16-3. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Black River had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Raiders.

Josh Stuart was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Black River: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-4 otherwise.

Keystone's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Black River, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.

Keystone took their victory against Black River in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 13-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
