Palo Verde won against Faith Lutheran on Thursday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Birmingham Patriots. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

Hayden Lucibello looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Palo Verde let Dane Keener and Luke Herrera run wild. Keener went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Herrera got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Brady Dallimore was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Palo Verde is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Birmingham, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-7.

Palo Verde has already played their next matchup, a 10-6 win against Liberty on the 16th. As for Birmingham, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-4 victory against Centennial on the 15th.
