Baseball Recap: Alhambra Takes a Loss

Alhambra and Willow Canyon squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Alhambra had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 4-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-7 on April 14th.

Alhambra saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Omar Guzman, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Alhambra's defeat dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Willow Canyon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-9.

Alhambra does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Willow Canyon, they will challenge Centennial at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Coyotes have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
