Baseball Recap: Millard West Finds Playoff Glory Versus Papillion-Lavista

Millard West extended their postseason success on Monday against Papillion-LaVista. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Monarchs a 1-0 shutout. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Monarchs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Colton Williams tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April.

On the hitting side, Millard West saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kade Skoumal, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Millard West's win bumped their record up to 22-13. As for Papillion-LaVista, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-13.
