Softball Recap: Lafayette Jefferson Takes a Loss

Lafayette Jefferson was the 5-4 winner over Twin Lakes when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bronchos fell 7-4 to the Indians on Friday. The Bronchos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lafayette Jefferson saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sayler Teal, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Kenzie Hutchison was another, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Lafayette Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Twin Lakes, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-17 record this season.

Lafayette Jefferson and Twin Lakes are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Bronchos will take on Kokomo at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lafayette Jefferson's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildkats have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Twin Lakes, they will face off against Western at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight.
