Baseball Game Preview: Pine Crest Panthers vs. NSU University Sharks

The Pine Crest Panthers will challenge the NSU University Sharks at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Pine Crest headed into their last contest having not scored more than two runs for three straight, but Fort Lauderdale let them put that streak behind them. The Panthers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Flying L's a 17-0 shutout on Monday. The Panthers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but NSU University ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Nova 6-5. The win was nothing new for the Sharks as they're now sitting on three straight.

The victory got Pine Crest back to even at 5-5. As for NSU University, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Pine Crest was able to grind out a solid victory over NSU University when the teams last played back in March of 2025, winning 4-1. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Sharks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
