Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Rosman

Rosman had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Hayesville Yellowjackets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-1 on Tuesday.

Kiahna Sexton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Rosman got a massive performance out of Kynzie Sexton, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Green, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Rosman kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since the start of last season.

The victory got Rosman back to even at 9-9. As for Hayesville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season.

As of now, neither Rosman nor Hayesville have any future games scheduled.
