It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Summerfield ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Simsboro Tigers, sneaking past 13-12. The Rebels haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Summerfield's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Simsboro, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Coming up, Summerfield is taking a road trip to square off against Beekman Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Simsboro, they will host Homer at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
