Baseball Recap: Palacios Comes Up Short

Palacios was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 19-7 to the Hallettsville Brahmas. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sharks of the 11-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Ismael Lopez led a balanced group of hitters, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one stolen base.

Palacios' defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Hallettsville, they pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road.

While Palacios had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
