Football Recap: Wilson's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak at Home + How To Watch

Wilson dropped to 6-4 on Friday, ending the team's seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They took a 22-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Healdton Bulldogs. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Wilson lost, don't look at Bobby Adams. Despite the final result, he rushed for 110 yards on only ten carries.

As for Healdton, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2. The 22-point effort marked their lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Healdton was led to victory by Luke Puckett and Devon Bivens. Puckett threw for 109 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only five passes, while Bivens rushed for 58 yards on only seven carries. The dominant performance also gave Puckett a new career-high in passing touchdowns (two).

Wilson and Healdton are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Eagles will take on Mangum at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. As for Healdton, they will be playing at home against Texhoma/Goodwell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
