Basketball Recap: Ridgecroft Skates Past Tidewater Academy with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Ridgecroft over Tidewater Academy in every quarter on their way to victory on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Ridgecroft Rams blew the Tidewater Academy Warriors out of the water with a 69-23 final score. That 46 point margin sets a new team best for the Rams this season.

Antron Gray went supernova for Ridgecroft, going 7 of 9 en route to 17 points and six steals. Gray is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Nacir Lewis, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.

Despite the defeat, Tidewater Academy had strong showings from Aydan Phillips, who posted seven points, and Henry Weber, who had seven points.

The win made it two in a row for Ridgecroft and bumps their season record up to 7-2. As for Tidewater Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Ridgecroft didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-60 victory against Halifax Academy on the 9th. As for Tidewater Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-24 defeat against Brunswick Academy on the 10th.
