Soccer Recap: Carter-Riverside Takes a Loss

Carter-Riverside lost against Benbrook back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Carter-Riverside Eagles lost 7-0 to the Benbrook Bobcats. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 727th, while the Bobcats are ranked 314th).

This is the second loss in a row for Carter-Riverside and nudges their season record down to 1-8. As for Benbrook, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carter-Riverside will take on Young Women's Leadership Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carter-Riverside is facing Young Women's Leadership Academy at the right time seeing as Young Women's Leadership Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Benbrook, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Benbrook take on the Dunbar at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
