Monache hadn't done well against Exeter recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Marauders put the hurt on the Monarchs with a sharp 3-0 win. The Marauders were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Monarchs, so the Marauders were just returning the favor.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-20, 25-10.

Melissa Rodriguez paced Monache's offense, picking up ten kills. Rodriguez got some help from Jaylee Alvarico and her 13 assists. Alvarico was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

The victory made it two in a row for Monache and bumps their season record up to 2-4. As for Exeter, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Monache didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Strathmore on the 2nd. As for Exeter, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Dinuba on the 2nd.
