Medomak Valley waltzed into their matchup on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Leavitt Hornets by a score of 4-1. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 10-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Medomak Valley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Simmons, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double. Another was Gabe Lash, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one double.

Medomak Valley's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Leavitt, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Medomak Valley will venture away from home to face off against Gardiner at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Leavitt, they will head out to take on Morse at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Shipbuilders will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight.
