After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mona Shores, Shelby was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the Hesperia Panthers get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 15 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Jayna Burmeister made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jaedyn Allen, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted over her last 14 contests. Another player making a difference was Hali Hayes, who went 3-for-4 with three runs.

Shelby's victory bumped their record up to 21-7. As for Hesperia, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Shelby will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
