Baseball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Panhandle Christian Home Educators' Fourth in Last Five Outings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against San Jacinto Christian Academy, Panhandle Christian Home Educators was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They never let Texhoma/Goodwell get on the board and left with a 4-0 win.

Isaiah Uecker made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 19 over seven innings pitched. Those 19 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Chase Israel was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles and three RBI. Those three doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Riley Schenk, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Panhandle Christian Home Educators is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Panhandle Christian Home Educators will challenge White Deer at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors are facing the Bucks at the right time seeing as the Bucks are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Texhoma/Goodwell, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Elkhart at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
