Softball Recap: Valley Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Valley's offense. They lost 13-0 to the Clay-Battelle Cee Bees on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Lumberjacks in their meetings with the Cee Bees: they've now lost seven in a row.

Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Clay-Battelle, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-7 record.

Valley and Clay-Battelle should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps West Virginia Rankings. The Lumberjacks (ranked 85th) will meet Frontier (ranked 432nd) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Clay-Battelle will square off against Catholic Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (61 vs. 603).
