Basketball Game Preview: New Bloomfield Wildcats vs. Paris Coyotes

The New Bloomfield Wildcats will face off against the Paris Coyotes at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. New Bloomfield is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.8 points per game this season.

New Bloomfield is headed into the match having just posted their biggest victory since January 25, 2024 on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 71-42 win over Community.

New Bloomfield's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Fuhriman, who went 8 for 13 on his way to 17 points and three steals. Fuhriman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Massman, who went 5 of 8 en route to 14 points and three blocks.

New Bloomfield smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in ten consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Paris ended up a good deal behind Westran on Monday and lost 54-37. The loss continues a trend for the Coyotes in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now lost nine in a row.

New Bloomfield's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Paris, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

New Bloomfield took a serious blow against Paris when the teams last played back in January of 2020, falling 57-23. Can New Bloomfield avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
