University hadn't done well against John Marshall recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Hawks' pitcher stepped up to hand the Monarchs a 2-0 shutout. The two-run effort marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
