Lancaster Mennonite had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They won by a set and slipped past the Lebanon Cedars 3-2. The Blazers haven't had any issues with the Cedars recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Lancaster Mennonite who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-18, 19-25, 25-17, 22-25, 15-8.

Lebanon is on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lancaster Mennonite will face off against Garden Spot at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lebanon, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Conestoga Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
