Basketball Recap: Ravenscroft Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Ravenscroft faced off against Jordan on Saturday. The Ravenscroft Ravens took a 74-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jordan Falcons.

Rivers Knight continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Jordan, going 10 for 16 on his way to 29 points along with eight boards and three blocks. Knight's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Julian Lowe, who went 6 of 13 en route to 14 points and seven rebounds.

Ravenscroft's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Jordan, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Ravenscroft will head out on the road to face off against Leesville Road at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Leesville Road's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches. As for Jordan, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Northern Durham at 8:00 p.m. Jordan knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Northern Durham likes a good challenge.
