Volleyball Recap: Jackson Center Comes Up Short

Jackson Center was the 3-1 winner over Botkins when they last played one another on September 4th, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Trojans on Tuesday.

While Jackson Center was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-22, 25-15.

Tatum Reichert paced Jackson Center's offense, picking up nine kills. Reichert got some help from Laynee Shields and her 11 assists. Audrey Byrd controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Leading Botkins to victory were Kambree Walters and Camryn McPheron. Walters had 15 digs and two assists, while McPheron had six digs and two aces. That's the most aces McPheron has posted over her last six contests.

Jackson Center's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Botkins, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-10.

Jackson Center wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Fort Loramie on the 2nd. As for Botkins, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Russia on the 3rd.
