Basketball Recap: Tri County Northeast Find Success

Tekamah-Herman came into Monday's matchup looking for another win against Tri County Northeast, but Joslyn Mackling wouldn't allow it. The Tri County Northeast Wolfpack put the hurt on the Tekamah-Herman Tigers with a sharp 43-22 win on Monday thanks in part to Mackling, who went 7 of 14 on her way to 18 points and six steals. Mackling is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Rastede, who posted three points and three steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Tri County Northeast's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Tekamah-Herman, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Tri County Northeast will venture away from home to square off against Siouxland Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tekamah-Herman, they will host Schuyler at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
