Soccer Game Preview: LaFayette vs. Harding Academy

The LaFayette Ramblers will challenge the Harding Academy Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. LaFayette's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

LaFayette saw some tournament action on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Madison Academy. While losing is never fun, LaFayette can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 390th in Georgia, while Madison Academy are ranked 63rd in Alabama).

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Harding Academy was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They lost 9-0 to Lausanne Collegiate. Harding Academy haven't had much luck with Lausanne Collegiate recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Harding Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for LaFayette, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.
