Volleyball Recap: Douglass Takes a Loss

Douglass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Washington Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Tuesday.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Douglass sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 24-26, 15-10.

Douglass' loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Washington, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Douglass will challenge South Atlanta at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Washington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Miller Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
