Eastern Montgomery is 8-2 against Craig County since January of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Mustangs will be playing at home against the Rockets at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Eastern Montgomery is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Parry McCluer just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 46-42 to the Fighting Blues.

Meanwhile, Craig County was beaten by Narrows 87-32 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 348th, while the Green Waves are ranked 121st).

Eastern Montgomery will have to contain Kammie Fisher as she made an impact in Craig County's last game. She posted four points and seven boards. Fisher continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Emily Smith was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Craig County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Eastern Montgomery, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.
