Basketball Recap: Evans Now 9-3 over Last 12 Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Evans walked away with it. They snuck past the Gaither Cowboys with a 51-47 victory on Saturday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Trojans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Cowboys are ranked 157th).

Evans has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. As for Gaither, their loss ended a 16-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 20-8.

As of now, neither Evans nor the Cowboys have any future games scheduled.
