Basketball Recap: Salome Frogs vs. San Pasqual Valley Warriors
After flying high against Seligman last Wednesday, Salome came back down to earth. The Salome Frogs were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 46-45 to the San Pasqual Valley Warriors. The Frogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 42-23.

When it comes to explaining why Salome lost, don't look at Grecia Leon. Despite the final result, she went 9 of 16 on her way to 24 points and eight boards. That's the most points Leon has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Thomas, who posted 14 points and eight rebounds.
San Pasqual Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kyla Emerson, who put up 15 points and four steals. Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salome will square off against Bagdad at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
