Volleyball Recap: Central City Bison vs. Milford Eagles
Central City lost against Milford back in October of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Central City Bison fell 2-0 to the Milford Eagles.
Central City was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Milford work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 28-26.
Sydni Homolka paced Central City's offense, picking up 12 kills. Homolka got some help from
Brookly Richardson and her 20 assists.
Milford got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Taylor Oldfield out in front who had 13 digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Libbie Reil, who had six digs and two aces.
Central City's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-8. As for Milford, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-8.
Central City will square off against Wilber-Clatonia at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Central City is facing Wilber-Clatonia at the right time seeing as Wilber-Clatonia is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. Milford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
