While East Davidson's victory against South Davidson wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Golden Eagles had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 3-2 on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Golden Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

East Davidson had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 19-25, 25-17, 27-25, 15-7.

East Davidson's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-4. As for South Davidson, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Coming up, East Davidson will venture away from home to square off against East Surry at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Davidson, they will host College Prep & Leadership Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Wildcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
