Baseball Recap: Des Moines East Takes a Loss

Des Moines East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bondurant-Farrar Bluejays. That's two games in a row now that the Scarlets have lost by just one run.

Des Moines East's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Bondurant-Farrar, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Bondurant-Farrar beat Des Moines East by a score of 17-0 later that day.
