Softball Recap: Somerset Academy Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Somerset Academy duked it out with West Broward on Saturday. The Panthers fell 5-1 to the Bobcats. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Bobcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Somerset Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Catalina Holguin, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Somerset Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10-1. As for West Broward, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Somerset Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-4 victory against Cypress Bay on the 14th. As for West Broward, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 17-6 win against Cooper City on the 14th.
