Softball Recap: Calloway County Comes Up Short

Calloway County lost against Hickman County back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Lakers fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 3-2.

Calloway County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lyla Ward, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases. Laynee Houk also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Calloway County's loss dropped their record down to 4-24. As for Hickman County, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 19-8.

As of now, neither Calloway County nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
