Basketball Recap: Lyons Comes Up Short

On Tuesday, the Lyons Lions came up short against the World of Inquiry Griffins and fell 59-48. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by exactly 11 points.

World of Inquiry was led to victory by Kanaz Linder and Curtis Bell. Linder almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards, while Bell went 7 of 14 on his way to 19 points. With that strong performance, Linder is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaedon Adams, who posted eight points.

This is the second loss in a row for Lyons and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for World of Inquiry, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lyons will head out to take on Clyde-Savannah at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for World of Inquiry, they will venture away from home to face off against Wilson Magnet at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
