Game recap: Clearfield High School Football Team defeats Central

MARTINSBURG, Pa. - After three lead changes, Clearfield (Pa.) took the lead for good when they scored a touchdown with 10:00 remaining in the third quarter and held on to beat Central (Martinsburg, Pa.) 35-20 on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a Zac Emerick touchdown run, the Dragons went into halftime with a 21-13 lead. The Bison scored the winning points with a touchdown that came in the third quarter.

When the two teams played each other last season, Clearfield came away with a 27-20 victory.

The loss comes after Central defeated Tyrone 25-12 last week. With the win the Bison extended their winning streak to three games. The loss ended Central's two-game winning streak.

Central (2-1) goes up against Penns Valley Area in a Mountain game matchup next week, while Clearfield (3-0) locks horns with Huntingdon also in a Mountain game.
