Basketball Recap: Washington Latin Public Charter School Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Washington Latin Public Charter School took on Takoma Academy on Thursday. The Washington Latin Public Charter School Lions were outmatched by the Takoma Academy Tigers and fell 49-8. The Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured seven defeats in a row.

Washington Latin Public Charter School's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Takoma Academy, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-5.

After both having extra time off, Washington Latin Public Charter School and Don Bosco Cristo Rey will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 2:30 p.m. on February 21st. That match will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Victoria Guevara and Maya Byrd-Gross. As for Takoma Academy, they will square off against Southern Maryland Christian Academy at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Takoma Academy is facing Southern Maryland Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Southern Maryland Christian Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
