Basketball Recap: Penney Takes a Loss

Penney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt an 85-21 loss at the hands of the Mid-Buchanan Dragons. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 335th, while the Dragons are ranked 30th).

Penney's record is now 0-6. As for Mid-Buchanan, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Maysville the next time they take the court. Mid-Buchanan will head out to face Maysville at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Penney will head out to face them at 1:30 p.m. on December 31st.
