Basketball Recap: North Rowan Takes a Loss

North Rowan was the 62-60 winner over West Rowan when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Cavaliers lost to the Falcons at home by a 64-49 margin on Tuesday.

Despite the loss, North Rowan still got an impressive performance from Carter Williams, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds. Zyquize Carpenter was another key player, putting up 11 points.

West Rowan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jalen Moten, who shot 50% from the field en route to 18 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Queen, who posted 13 points.

North Rowan's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for West Rowan, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, North Rowan will head out on the road to square off against Statesville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for West Rowan, they will welcome Mooresville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
