Baseball Game Preview: Alhambra Moors vs. Polytechnic Panthers

The Alhambra Moors will square off against the Polytechnic Panthers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Alhambra managed to slip by Montebello the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Moors lost 9-2 to the Oilers on Friday.

Meanwhile, Polytechnic came up short against Flintridge Prep on Friday and fell 4-1. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Caiden Kennedy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits.

On the hitting side, Polytechnic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Phillips, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Polytechnic's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Alhambra, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-5-1.
