The Putnam County War Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Lamar County Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Last Friday, Putnam County humbled Towers with a 48-14 victory. The result was nothing new for the War Eagles, who have now won three matches by 25 points or more so far this season.

Putnam County relied on the efforts of Rashod Daniel, who rushed for 170 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and Branan Griffin, who rushed for 87 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Those 170 rushing yards gave Daniel a new career-high.
