Recap: Winfield Warriors vs. North Callaway Thunderbirds

The Winfield Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They slipped by North Callaway 68-67. The win was a breath of fresh air for Winfield as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

When it comes to explaining why North Callaway lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lakyn Hartley. Despite the final result, she scored 23 points along with six rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hartley has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Abrielle Burgher, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.

Winfield now has a winning record of 6-5. As for North Callaway, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-7.

Winfield will head out on the road to square off against St. Charles West at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. North Callaway won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bowling Green at 6:50 p.m. on January 24th. Bowling Green will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 366th, while North Callaway is ranked 151st).
