Basketball Recap: Maryville Christian Comes Up Short

Maryville Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 65-47 fall against the Eagleton College & Career Academy Royals. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 330th, while the Royals are ranked 95th).

Maryville Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Eagleton College & Career Academy, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maryville Christian will square off against Oliver Springs at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eagleton College & Career Academy, they will take on Austin-East at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
