After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rancho Christian, Arlington was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They won by a set and slipped past the Hillcrest Trojans 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lions have posted since August 16th.

Arlington had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 16-25, 20-25, 27-25, 25-20, 15-12.

Their offense was headlined by Zoe Dileo and Kennedy Barnett, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Amelia Heydari and her 32 assists. Finally, Marissa Galvan kept Arlington's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Arlington's victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 6-11. As for Hillcrest, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.

Arlington has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Paloma Valley on the 26th. As for Hillcrest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Poly on the 26th.
