Hunt is 9-1 against Northern Nash since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Hunt Warriors will take on the Northern Nash Knights at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Hunt is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Greene Central. Hunt blew past Greene Central 20-7 on Wednesday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Melaina Dixon made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single hit, allowed only an earned run while striking out seven over 4.2 innings pitched. Dixon was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4. What's more, she posted two hits, the most she's had since back in February of 2024.

In other batting news, Allyson Winstead was a standout: she scored four runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-5. Kennedie Carnahan was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.

Hunt was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .436. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greene Central only posted a batting average of .158.

Meanwhile, Northern Nash gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Beddingfield with a sharp 23-1 victory. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Hunt took their win against Northern Nash in their previous meeting back in April of 2021 by a conclusive 10-0. Does Hunt have another victory up their sleeve, or will Northern Nash turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
