Basketball Recap: Tahquitz Takes a Loss

Tahquitz was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 87-50 loss at the hands of the Citrus Hill Hawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Titans of the 70-44 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Citrus Hill's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jerren White led the charge by dropping a triple-double on 12 points, 16 rebounds, and ten assists. White has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 12 times he's played. Kannon Steward was another key player, going 7 for 11 on his way to 17 points and six assists.

Tahquitz's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Citrus Hill, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tahquitz will challenge Ramona at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Citrus Hill, they will square off against Big Bear at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Citrus Hill is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.4 points per game this season.
