The Westover Patriots scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 64-47 win over Colquitt County. With that victory, Westover brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.
Leading Westover to victory were Greg Williams and Traveion Wheeler. Williams scored 14 points along with six rebounds, while Wheeler scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. Wheeler has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Ball, who scored eight points along with six assists.
The victory (which was Westover's fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.4 points per game. As for Colquitt County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.
Westover will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Monroe at 7:30 p.m. Monroe has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 919 points over their last 14 matchups. As for Colquitt County, they will head out on the road to challenge Lowndes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
